POWER OF WARMTH Case Study: Bentley Heating – Warmflow Zeno R290 Air Source Heat Pump Installation
Bentley Heating, a well-established heating installation company based in Lincolnshire, partnered with Warmflow to deliver a high-performance, low-carbon heating solution using their new Warmflow Zeno R290 Air Source Heat Pump. The installation formed part of a wider effort to help homeowners reduce their energy bills and transition to more sustainable, future-ready heating technologies.
The project involved a domestic customer who was looking to upgrade their existing air source heat pump system. With two older units already in place, the homeowner wanted a more efficient, low-maintenance solution that would improve energy performance while blending seamlessly into the property. A key consideration was to carry out the upgrade with minimal disruption to the home and its existing heating infrastructure.
Project Scope and Approach
Following a detailed assessment of the property and its requirements, Bentley Heating recommended the Warmflow Zeno R290 22kW Air Source Heat Pump. The system was chosen for its natural R290 refrigerant, which has an ultra-low global warming potential, and for its exceptionally quiet operation that makes it ideal for residential settings. Its compact footprint also ensured a discreet and aesthetically pleasing installation, while its high flow temperature capability—up to 75°C—made it compatible with the home’s existing radiators.
In addition to its technical benefits, the Zeno R290 offers a user-friendly touchscreen interface and can be controlled remotely using the Warmlink App, providing the installer with convenient and intuitive monitoring over the heating system, reducing the need for onsite visits.
To ensure a smooth and efficient installation, Bentley Heating was supported on-site by Warmflow’s GB Renewables Sales Manager, Niel Rumbold. His involvement in the assisted setup process helped streamline the integration of the new system and provided valuable guidance during commissioning.
Installation and Outcome
The project involved the removal of the two previous heat pumps, installation of the new Zeno R290 unit, and full integration with the existing central heating system. Bentley Heating managed the entire process from start to finish, including commissioning and system handover with the work carried out swiftly and professionally, with minimal disruption to the household.
The result was a modern, efficient heating solution that delivered immediate benefits. The homeowner experienced a noticeable reduction in energy usage and costs, as well as quieter operation from the new external unit. The system’s sleek, contemporary appearance also complemented the style of the home, adding both functional and visual value.
